Is ‘living more’ on of your new year’s resolutions? Do you want to feel more, do more, be more? Are you really going to live your life in 2017? And is the intention to tell your story among your top five to-dos? GOOD. Come to the dark side and become a contributor. We have cookies!
We Like Living has been online for a little less than a year. A year in which a lot has happened: we went from starting as a group of storytellers to me going solo, from posting 3-4 blogs a week to scaling it back to one post a week, I took a break and came back, translated the site to English…
It’s been a lot. 2016 was a lot. Besides starting and running welikeliving.com, I lost my job, freelanced for a minute and found another job. It’s hectic, but I love it. I made new friends and lost some I thought were very dear ones, wrote a book (kind of), spent a lot of time doing more of what makes me happy and have therefore kind of been all over the place. Often, it felt like I had no idea what I was doing. I still don’t. This whole thing is like a rollercoaster. I never know what’s going to happen next, but it’s definitely one hell of a ride.
Since routines bore me – and since my head is exploding with ideas, dreams and plans for 2017 and I can’t (and don’t want to) possibly do it all by myself – it’s time to shake things up again! And to do this, I need your help.
When I started visualising what welikeliving.com was going to be about a year ago, I intended for it to become a platform. A platform where many people can share their stories. Stories about their lives: about their ups and their downs, their in-betweens. Stories by and about people who realise that life is precious and awesome and scary and weird, and who have decided to live it. Fully. Stories that show you another way of doing or thinking, that inspire you to live more yourself. That is what I wanted.
That is still what I want this website to be. So…
Yep. You read that right. The floodgates are open! You can send your story (or an idea you want to pitch) to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will determine whether or not it is suitable for the vision I have for the future of welikeliving. Please keep in mind the following:
